We are very pleased to be working on Aberdeen Art Gallery's redevelopment project, 'Inspiring Art and Music'.

The project aims to restore and modernise the Art Gallery, Cowdray Hall and War Memorial, transforming them into world-class cultural centres and, in turn, cementing Aberdeen as the heart of the art and music scene in the North-West. The redevelopment is also central to Aberdeen's bid to become UK City of Culture 2017.

We will be working closely with Gareth Hoskins Architects to produce a lighting scheme which will encourage visitors to engage with the collections and events, whilst maintaining the need for conservation and maintenance of the exhibits. It will also look to create a sensitive transition from day to night, particularly poignant given Aberdeen's northern location.

It was announced last week that Aberdeen Art Gallery has just received £10m in funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund. It hopes to reopen in the summer of 2017.
